Do I have to register?

No. Based on restrictions given by the government, you are not required. Although we still have our registration and booking system open to all those who would like to socially distance. 

 

I can't attend anymore, how do I cancel my booking?

You are able to cancel your tickets HERE or using the link at the bottom of your confirmation email.

 

Do I have to wear a mask?

Yes. Masks will be required to be worn throughout the service. Unless you are medically exempt, it is a government requirement for everyone over the age of 12 to wear a face-covering inside places of worship.

 

What happens at the gathering?

Our services will continue as they have been, involving There will be live worship and a sermon, and we'll also have time to pray and invite God to minister to us.

 

Can we sing?

Unfortunately singing is currently not allowed, however there are many other ways we can engage with live worship.

 

Can someone pray with me?

Absolutely. Though we will not invite you to come to the front during altar call, you will have the opportunity to receive prayer. The prayer room will be accessible during service via.  If you are in need of some one-to-one pastoral support please contact us at info@newjchurch.com.

 

Can I have communion?

Communion services will still take place as your communion elements are disposable and will be provided to you before the service begins. 

 

Will there be children's church?

For the time being, children's church will continue to be shown online at 11am via our YouTube Channel. Once Children's Church returns to the building, you will be updated. 

 

Can I socialise?

Unfortunately, socialising with those outside your household or support bubble inside of New J Church is not currently allowed. Nevertheless, you're welcome to arrange social gatherings after the church service providing it adheres to the current lockdown restrictions.

 

Will there be refreshments?

Unfortunately not, although you are welcome to bring a drink with you providing you can take any rubbish with you.

 

Where do I sit?

You will be directed to a seat by our team. Households (including support bubbles) can sit together providing they have all registered. All households and individuals will be seated at least 2m apart from each other. Please do not move any chairs in the building, they have been carefully placed for social distancing.

 

Can I register as group?

Yes, as long as the people you want to attend with are in your household (or support bubble) you can register in groups of up to 6 and will be seated together.

 

How will you ensure safety is monitored?

Our team of ushers and stewards will be on hand to check that all our COVID-secure guidelines are followed to ensure we all remain safe and happy – and of course, assist you with any questions or problems.

 

Will you provide hand sanitiser and masks?

Yes, there will be sanitisation stations throughout the building and if you forget to bring your mask, we can provide you with a disposable mask.

 

Can I use the restrooms?

Of course, although we would prefer you to use the bathrooms prior to you entering the sanctuary in order to maintain the one-way flow system.

 

Will I have to self isolate if someone attending tests positive for Covid?

We are doing all that we can to adhere to guidelines and minimise the risk of transmission. However, the NHS Track & Trace app may alert you if you have been in close contact with an infected person/s.

 

How will I maintain a safe distance when entering and exiting?

We will do our best to manage the flow of people through a one-way system that allows you to keep a safe distance. When walking around the building 1m+ is allowed for less than 15minutes near the same person. Once you are seated you will be 2m apart and we ask that you try to respect others when entering and exiting the building.
